Andrew Leyva is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with dual specialization in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care (AGACNP-BC) and Psychiatric-Mental Health (PMHNP-BC).  His unique qualifications allow deliverance of truly integrated care, addressing both the physical and psychological aspects of his patients' well-being. With a deep understanding of mental health and chronic illness he takes a holistic approach to treatment that goes beyond symptom management.

With the ability to navigate complex, co-occurring conditions. He recognizes scenarios where uncontrolled anxiety can worsen heart disease, depression can derail diabetes management, and trauma can shape a patient’s entire healing journey. This insight allows for tailored comprehensive care rather than isolated management of conditions.  Andrew’s clinical expertise is rooted in diverse healthcare settings, including high-acuity environments like surgery and trauma units. These experiences sharpened his ability to think critically under pressure while maintaining compassion. Whether in hospitals or outpatient clinics, he prioritizes communication, ensuring patients and families understand their conditions and treatment options.

By addressing psychiatric and medical needs together, he helps patients achieve more sustainable wellness. His approach is particularly valuable for those with chronic illnesses, managing multiple conditions, and individuals whose mental health directly impacts their physical recovery.

Andrew's professional credentials include Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) licenses across multiple states: Texas, New Mexico, and Nebraska. His national board certifications are conferred by the esteemed American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). He proudly earned his advanced practice nursing degrees from the University of Texas at El Paso, equipping him with the advanced knowledge and clinical skills necessary to excel in his multifaceted role and provide exceptional care.
